My favorite authors/series

I get asked a lot for suggestions of books because I'm known to discover really awesome series that a lot of people have never heard of. I have noticed I normally recommend people to read the same series/authors and decided to just make a list of MUST READ books. Some authors I loved seriously EVERYTHING thing ever written, so those are ones I've come to consider my FAVORITE authors.

For people who read as much as I do, I've found there's one sure way to know when a person is considered your "favorite author"   -- when you buy their new book without reading the description first. Why? Because you trust whatever they've written, it's good. Doesn't matter what it's about. So far, my favorite authors have not disappointed me. And, if you give them a chance--they wont disappoint you either.

MY FAVORITE AUTHORS/SERIES

*FYI: Some of these series have the first book free on amazon right now!

Favorite Series:

Fallen Crest High -- Tijan
The series is basically about two hard-core brothers who are dealing with their father's new girlfriend and her daughter who recently move in. The brothers are really hot football players and the girl isn't the type of girl they're used to. The newest book, Fallen Fourth Down will be released fairly soon-- so, you have time to read the ones that are out before the newest one is released!

My Once and Future Love - Carla Krae
This series starts out with a shy girl living next door to the popular guy. Typical best friend/love story...well, kind of. To prevent from spoiling the series for you, the guy turns into a big rock star and it causes problems with their relationship. There's one more book to be released in this series--it's a really good read. I've re-read the series a few times--which I don't often do.

Double Threat  - Julie Prestater
I seriously LOVE this series! To summarize, a guy and girl meet while in high-school and the relationship carries out throughout college. Lots of parties and drama in this series. It has an AWESOME ending where the author did an AMAZING job tying up all of the story lines--something some series have trouble with. Anyway, this is one of my favorite series. It's a must read.

Favorite series (supernatural/fantasy) :
*As much as I love to read, at times, it feels like I'm reading the same story over-and-over. There are some authors/series that really stand out that are COMPLETELY different from anything you'll read-- guys and girls will love these series. They're so neat and interesting. Very action-packed. Of course, there's still some romance in there if you're into that sort of thing. ;-)

The Gateway Trilogy - Christina Garner
This is one of my favorite series EVER. And my absolute favorite author for many reasons. For one, the series is really awesome-- As a psych major I'm into anything with any sort-of psychological situations that authors can bring to the book. This book starts and finishes with excitement--so there's never a dull part of the book that'll make you want to flip threw it. Books 1 and 2 -- Gateway and Chasm are already released. Book 3- Tether will be released soon. I've recently did a cover re-reveal for book one--Check it out, really awesome! Also, another of the many reasons Christina Garner is my favorite author--she's basically the coolest person in the world--seriously. Add her on Facebook/twitter, talk to her. You'll see why. She's awesome to her fans!!

Reflections - Dean Murray
As I've mentioned before, some series can be very predictable So, when I find a book that manages to surprise me, I LOVE it! I always judge books by the cover...it's what gets me to stop long enough to see if a book is worth purchasing or not. Anyway, book one had a really cool cover so I decided to read it--best decision ever! It started out like a typical good book...then there was a curve-ball that really threw me...I had no idea it was going to be a book about ware-wolves. It's a really awesome twist to modern-day ware-wolves. You know, twilight-type stuff. It's really good if you like that type of book.

Fallen Stars - Jessica Sorensen
I have no idea where some authors come up with inspiration for their books. Jessica Sorensen is a genius, seriously. There's is no other book like this one. It can't even describe the book to you without making it seem less awesome than it is. It's very well written--it's basically about a girl who has the power of a star. A guy is sent to serve as some-sort of protector of that power--and of her since she holds that power. I can't really give away too much because it really has a complex plot BUT it's a very good read!

Romance Reads-
*Fans of 50 shades of Grey and *hot* romances such as that will love these:

J. S. Scott - The Billionaire's Obsession series
If you keep up with my blog, you've heard all about J.S. Scott. She's my favorite author in this genre. She's a really cool person, too! One of the most loyal authors I know! All of her books have the same concept-- hot alpha male who dominates over a sweet, innocent girl. Same concept, completely different story every time. Also, every book mentions past characters from other books that you've been wondering about. It's a good series. Actually, any of her books are must reads if this is the genre you're in to.

Emily Snow - Devoured Series
This is one of the books that has a free book in the series. It's more of a novella but a great introduction to the series that'll get you hooked! It's different from the other romances because instead of a hot, CEO who falls for an innocent young girl, it features a hot musician. It's such a sweet series. You'll love it!

Eve Carter - Deceived
I can't say enough positive things about this series. It's so good! If you're into *hot* romances, you'll really like this series. Every person I've suggested reading this series has said all positive things. A must read!

Must Read--AUTHOR

Lacey Weatherford
She deserves her own category because every book she has come out with has been AMAZING. All of her series are my favorite and so different. I'm convinced she can write any genre well. Some authors have hard enough time writing one type of book but she manages to write the most amazing and creative books. My favorite series/books of hers are Witches and Warlocks, Crush, and Chasing Nikki. She's one of the authors that I will buy ANYTHING that comes out. I don't even bother reading the details of the book because she's THAT good. Try ANYTHING of hers, you'll love it. Witches and Warlocks will be more for the people into supernatural things--there's a lot of romance in it. Crush it a cute love-story but it's different from most because there's a huge twist that will shock a lot of people. Chasing Nikki... all I can say is DON'T READ SPOILERS/REVIEWS before reading this book. You DO NOT want to spoil the book. It's an amazing book--there's a second book out that is equally as amazing.

Komal Kant
If you read nothing else that I've suggested, read Falling for Hadie. Book one is called Impossible but each are stand-alones. Last I checked, Impossible was free and Falling for Hadie is 99 cents. I swear you'll love them both. But, you'll hate me forever for suggesting it. Seriously, Falling for Hadie will ruin your life--for the better. You may have book PTSD after reading this book. DO NOT READ IN PUBLIC (you'll thank me later). Ask anyone who has ever read this book. After they finish sobbing about how life isn't fair, they'll tell you it's the most amazing book you'll ever read. I've read a lot of amazing books in my life but nothing compares to this book. It's such a beautifully written book--it deserves to be made into a move and Komal Kant deserves a TON of recognition for her amazing work with both books. It's not a very popular book but if more people heard about it, it would very easily make every single best-sellers list out there. It's that good. It's so good, I'm going to attach the amazon links to the books--

After you've read some of them--I'd love to hear what you think about them. Let me know!! As always, if there's a book/author I need to check out, I'd love some suggestions!
